Do you ever find yourself wondering "if only"?
If only I had the money I could ____
If only I had gone to school
If only I hadn't done _________
I am sure we all have gotten stuck at times and used "if only" as an excuse for why we are where we are in our lives.
It does no good to regret.
It does no good to wallow in self-pity.
It keeps you stagnant and you will not move forward if you are going to cry over missed opportunities, regret bad decisions or anything else that keeps your mindset from looking forward.
It is a struggle to fight those negative thoughts and self-depriciating attitudes.
We fight many battles in our lives and some of them are self-inflicted.
"If only ____" is probably one of the most damaging.
If you find yourself thinking "If only", stop and let the thought play out, don't allow it any fuel to breed and then toss it away.
Today you received a gift of a new day. It is a present that is brand-new. It doesn't contain the past, regrets or if only's. Use it wisely.
